Whitespace Work Software Ltd is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a Waste Management contract with Biffa to support its Melton Borough Council operation.
Biffa has been selected to provide waste and cleansing services to the council and Whitespace will deliver the software infrastructure to help Biffa and Melton Borough Council manage their services efficiently.
Our products will help Biffa streamline the Council’s services, increase the speed of processing data and provide accurate reporting on service performance.
Melton is a local government borough in north-eastern Leicestershire, England. It is named after its main town, Melton Mowbray.
The main activities of the Borough are centred on the single market town of Melton Mowbray which has a population of about 26,000. There are some 70 small villages within the surrounding rural area and the area of the Borough is 48,138ha.
The population of the Borough at 2011 was over 50,000 and has risen significantly since.
The council has set goals to promote a vibrant and sustainable economy. Their focus is to be agile and effectively manage demand, delivering value for money customer focused services.
Melton Borough Council has selected Biffa to deliver its waste and cleansing services. Biffa has rich experience delivering municipal waste services to local authorities. The following Whitespace products will be implemented by Biffa and integrated with Melton Borough Council’s systems, to help manage the services:

Whitespace Mobile – to link the crew to the back office and deliver the in-cab operations and vehicle checks
Whitespace Analytics – to provide end-users with easy to use business intelligence tools and management reporting capability
Whitespace Telematics – to provide the council with visibility over their fleet, help them optimise their rounds, reduce fuel usage and observe driver’s behaviour
