Overview

Over 50% of the public now access the majority of their information and communicate via a mobile device. With this number only expected to grow, Whitespace Work Software has developed the Whitespace Resident app that gives Council’s the opportunity to engage with their residents in a way that now truly reflects user preference.

The Whitespace Resident Mobile App gives residents access to local news, information about their waste collection services and allows them to report issues like missed bins collections, graffiti and fly tipping. By allowing the public to capture this information the Whitespace Resident Mobile App encourages individuals to become ‘Community Champions’ that work alongside a council to improve their local area.

Utilising the system’s web portal the Council can then analyse all incoming data to identify areas within their community that require further support, and send regular updates to the residents, resulting in less queries, potentially reducing costs and improving resident satisfaction.
